March 25th 2012, Washington, DC - USA. A Major membership drive Kick Off in Washington DC was held at famous Mehran Restaurant opposite to World Bank on Pennsylvania Ave to coincide with PTI’s National Membership Drive in Pakistan. The event was attended by large number of people from all walks of life. PTI Leaders, Ch Muhammad Akbar, Muhammad Ishtiaq, Shahab Qarni, Ayaz Jarral, Maria Shah, Waqar Khan and Yaser Buttar were present at the event. Imran Butt was the host and the event Organizer.
Event was started with the talawat. Mr. Shahab Qarni welcomed the guests and
emphasized on the importance of the work at the grass roots level. He differentiated that Pakistan Tehreek E Insaf is a Movement not a typical political party and the workers who deliver to the cause will be recognized. Yaser Buttar explained the process for the overseas Pakistanis to vote in the upcoming elections. Imran Butt thanked all the guests and showed his overwhelming support for PTI and Imran Khan on behalf of the Pakistani community in Washington DC Area. He stated that Imran Khan is the only Hope for Pakistan.
The Membership Kick Off was officially launched and a cake was cut on this joyous occasion. A good number of people from Washington DC sign up for Paid PTI membership on the spot.
