Chairman
Imran Khan has stated that the law enforcing agencies have failed to
prevent violence and damage to both public and private property in the
Karachi riots which has disrupted life in the city. Incidents of firing
have been reported across various cities all over the province including
Sukkur, Hyderabad, Nawabshah and Mirpurkhas. Karachi University has
announced postponement of all examinations scheduled for today. Routine
economic activity has been disrupted as the shops were forced to close
down following the firing in several residential and commercial areas of
Karachi
The
Chairman has asked the people of Karachi to remain calm and restore
peace in the financial hub of the country. Acts of violence will only
cause further damage to the public and is not a solution to the
underlying problem. Chairman PTI has asked the law and order enforcing
agencies to control the situation and restore normal life in the
province. PTI stands for peaceful political coexistence of all political
and democratic stakeholders in the country and appeals to the different
party workers to shun politics of violence and revenge and to maintain
the balance of peace and harmony in the city.
